Activities For The Reunion

Activities for the Byrne Family Reunion will include a car caravan tour of Central
West Virginia Sites on Friday, June 8.

The Byrne Family will gather Friday evening in Elkins

On Saturday Morning the Byrne Family will  board The New Tygart Flyer
streamline train for a rail tour of Monongahela National Forest
along the Shavers Fork of Cheat River.

The Byrne Family  will gather Saturday evening for Dinner before venturing out
independently to enjoy Elkins.

Independent Activity  or Possibly Other Tours will be organized for Sunday

We will visit the present-day area
near the mouth of Oil Creek at
Burnsville (Early 1800s homesite of
Peyton Byrne) on our car caravan tour
We will picnic at  Bee Run area of
Sutton Lake (Elk River) Friday
on our caravan tour
We'll take a ride aboard the
New Tygart Flyer on Saturday
Well known Civil War Reenactor
Ken Connell will conduct tours at
Bulltown Historical Area

Last year at Greenup, Ky. our Byrne Family Reunion
featured Peyton Buckner Byrne as our "Special
Spotlighted Ancestor". This June we will spotlight
his brother, John B. Byrne, and their father, Peyton
Byrne, of Braxton County, (West) Virginia
Sutton is the county seat of Braxton
County and the Byrne Family
Reunion will visit the town before a
picnic at Bee Run.
